Fast service and I love the sweet bread.I always get the Italian sandwich with turkey and they load it up with all the goodies.
Five stars all day long! I came from out of town on a visit. Head West subs was a recommendation to try. Ooooooh wow it is good! The service was good. Very helpful! They have cold subs with different types of bread, they will toast it if you like, homemade soups, brownies, cookies, yes a must stop in for a taste that I almost can't describe. See for yourself, or taste it for yourself.
The first time I go to any new sub shop, I order their Italian sub. This is the benchmark on which I judge every sub shop or grinder or hero shop. First of all the crew here is amazing. There were three people working when my wife and I arrived around 1 PM. It was pretty quiet in the shop, so everyone was super attentive to us. The sandwiches are packed with meat! The bread was definitely fresh and homemade. It was like a sweet roll, but not too sweet. The staff recommended that we try that bread for sure. They did not lead us astray. Excellent Jone's soda and chips selections here. if you check in on Yelp, you get a free brownie, which we enjoyed very much. It was fresh and had delicious chocolate chips in it. What a wonderful treat! Thanks to the Springfield CM for setting that up. I've had thousands of subs in my 54 years. This place is in the top 5. Absolutely perfect. We'll be back in September! I cannot wait!!
This is seriously my favorite place in Springfield!! The staff is incredible, the vibes are on point and the vegan turkey Sammie is the best that I've ever had- I don't know what they do with that bread but OMG
My family of seven and I were heading on a short three day vacation to St. Louis, MO and needed a stop for lunch prior to making it to the hotel. We were told to stop here at this local favorite sandwich shop. We ordered ahead and got the food on time as we pulled into the parking lot. The ambiance of the shop is exactly what you'd want from a small sandwich place. Nothing special but also does the job! We opted for the Italian sub and the turkey sub. Both ok sweet bread. Both were stacked with meat and made well. The reason I give this place a 4/5 stars is because it's a good place. But not special. I would stop here again if I were in need of lunch or dinner but I wouldn't go out of my way.
Had a chef salad from here for lunch and it was fine. Nothing exceptional but it met my need. The size was decent for the price.
Really like the subs here. Turkey bacon ranch was excellent. My daughter likes rare roast beef, which they did not have, but she still ate it. My wife liked her italian sub. The cookies were great. After we ate, my brother explained that this place is known for the "special" brownies they serve. The problem was, my 7 year old ordered and ate a brownie. I exchanged a look of panic with my wife before my brother laughed and said you had to ask for the brownies in a particular way and that he was sure her brownie was of the regular variety. So, bullet dodged I guess. I would come back, but maybe stick to the cookies.
